DRAFT NATIONAL STANDARD NOW OPEN FOR CONSULTATION

FSC Ireland often seek to consult with the public regarding national standards and documents affecting responsible forest management in Ireland.

Current Consultations

Registration is now open for the Consultative Forum to formally comment on the revised draft of the Irish national FSC forest management standard. There will be a 70-day public consultation period on the draft national standard, which will take place from 10th August 2009 until 23rd October 2009.

The Draft Standard will be revised in the light of feedback from public consultation, before approval from the Forest Stewardship Council is sought.

Comments should be submitted before Friday 23rd October 2009, and can be made by email to consultation[at]irishforestcertification[dot]com or in writing to:

An open meeting to discuss the new Draft Irish Standard will take place in September, (details to be confirmed).
