Using the FSC Trademarks

How to use the FSC logo

What are the FSC trademarks?

The FSC trademarks offer a guarantee that products comes from responsible sources that support the conservation of forests and wildlife and ensure that the social and economic needs of people affected by forestry are met.

There are three FSC trademarks:

  1. the name "FOREST STEWARDSHIP COUNCIL"
  2. the initials "FSC"
  3. the "checkmark-and-tree" logo

If you would like to sell or trade FSC certified products and communicate your commitment to your customers, you must obtain authorisation. For Ireland this is currently carried out by FSC International. You will find information about how to use the FSC logo on their web site www.fsc.org.trademark.html.

Trademark Misuse

FSC takes trademark misuse very seriously. The trademark is the way in which FSC protects the credibility of the FSC system and of FSC certificate holders. You can report trademark misuses here.
